During a January 2003 trip to Las Vegas, Mary Jo and I visited the House of Blues, where we found these southern folk art sitting pieces made of old picture prints mounted on wood, with ornamentation made up of old auto license plates, combination and keyed locks, soda bottle caps, and house keys.

The Wallflowers played that evening — we didn’t stick around.
